* Game Day: We will be going out to Country Crossings on Tuesday, August 10, from 1:00p-3:00p. If you are interested in going over to play games, work on crafts, chalk art, or just swing on the swings, contact Julie in the Church Office (office@applefreechurch.org or 735-9971). Come join the fun!

* Free Rummage and School Supplies Giveaway will be August 14, from 9:00a-12:00p at Life Promotions’ parking lot in downtown Appleton. Items needed: gently used clothing, bedding, towels, housewares, toys and etc. We are also looking for money donations for school supplies. If you have any of these items (they must be in good shape), please consider donating them to the Giveaway. We will begin collecting these items at church the week of August 9. If you have questions contact the Church Office, 735-9971. If you would like to help with setup, work it, and/or take down, please sign up at the table in the entrance way. Watch for an insert in the Sunday Bulletin for more information

* Volunteers needed for Free Oil Change on September 11, from 8:30a-1:00p at Country Crossings Mobile Home park. The sign up sheet to help with changes and serve is on the table in the entrance way. We are accepting donations of hotdogs, buns, chips, and baked goods. Please have food donations delivered to the church kitchen by Friday, September 10 or bring out to Country Crossings by 8:30a Saturday, September 11.

* Pastor’s Coffee: ACEFC would like to welcome all guests and new attendees to a “Pastor’s Coffee” after 2^nd service Sunday, September 19. You will have an opportunity to meet Pastor John and an Elder, learn more about our church, and have coffee and a treat. Please meet in the Gathering area.

* Blood Drive with Community Blood Center, Sunday, September 19, 9:00a-1:00p. You must be 17 years old or older and have a picture ID with you at donation time. You may donate if you are 16 years old with parental permission. Permission slips will be available.

* Fall Serving Weekend at Lac Courte Oreilles Indian Reservation: We will be leaving Thursday, September 23, and return Saturday, September 25. If interested sign up at the table in the entrance way. For more information, contact Jeff D. Cost is $50.

* Sign up for the fourth annual trip to New Orleans to work in the third ward rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina, November 6-13. Join us in helping people with no other place to turn. It can be a life-changing experience. The cost is $450; see the brochure in the entryway for details. Deposit is $20 per person due August 1. Questions? Contact Bud R., briska@applefreechurch.org

* The Weight Loss Support Group meets every Wednesday. Weigh-in is between 3:45p-4:00p with a meeting starting at 4:00p (new time for the summer). Come join us as we explore different exercises, ways to cook, and Biblical weight loss studies. We are discussing “First Place 4 Health’s Seek God First.” Please contact Julie in the Church Office (735-9971 or office@applefreechurch.org) if you would like more information. This is a nice small group to bring friends, neighbors, and co-workers. There is no cost for these meetings.

* The Fitness Group meets on Mondays and Thursdays at 12:30p for a half hour of exercise. How about you joining us for a brisk 1.5 miles on a bright sunny day looking at some beautiful gardens as we walk. It's a lot of fun when you walk with friends. We will still do our indoor DVD on days when the clouds chase us inside.

* We are collecting GM Cereal Box Tops for Education for Houdini Elementary School. If you are not connected to a school and would like to donate your box tops, please place them in the box provided on the table in the entrance way.
